On behalf of our client, a tech start-up on a quick incline in the gaming, AI & cryptocurrency space, The Pond Recruitment is on the search for an enthusiastic and experienced Creative Copywriter, keen on an exciting challenge and looking to bring their years of experience from advertising agency-land.

You will play a crucial role in relaying the message of key hero campaigns and upcoming games in the pipeline for the targeted audience through a variety of consumer touchpoints. You’ll be a unique, self-motivated individual with impeccable communication skills who enjoys working with different personalities day in and day out.

The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic thinking and creative direction, proven experience in strategy, and the skills to break down complex communications into a succinct creative paths and ideas for a range of brands and projects. Ultimately they can extract key takeout points, repackage the tone and conceptual direction, and work closely with the Designer Lead in bringing a brand direction to life.

Most importantly you are a hands-on, positive, and collaborative person with the ability to roll your sleeves and not be afraid to dig in deep. You are confident to reach out, and proactively manage other designers if needed. You’ll confidently own the process, champion the brand messaging consistently, and be an autonomous worker willing to back yourself and your creative vision!

The breakdown

We are looking for a Creative Copywriter with:

• Min 7+ years’ copywriting experience across short, medium, and long form
• Strong conceptual writer
• Prolific in creative strategy

You’ll have…

• Strong conceptual creative thinking
• Ability to take the creative lead on solidifying and conceptualising the different brands, communications projects and games
• Experience across various traditional and digital communications, experience working with digital-first clients highly preferred
• Ability to switch between writing headlines, call to action campaign copy and B2B comms, crafting powerful and concise copy every time
• Experience collaborating with senior creatives and professionals – Marketing & Design Heads, Co-Founders and alike…
• Confidence managing your own work pipeline to deliver different projects simultaneously and at pace
• A brag book of successful and varied copy across different go-to-market campaigns, and the chutzpah to back it up

• Salary $110,000 - $120,000 per annum + KiwiSaver

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (creative, marketing, communications, advertising or alike)
