We are looking for a Mid to Senior level Unity programming generalist to assist with immersive tech projects such as VR, MR and AR.

You will be working closely with our client's team of artists, developers and UX designers, but will have plenty of opportunities to give input and show initiative.

The breakdown

We are looking for someone too: 

  • Be a key contributor in the development AR, VR, MR, WebGL, mobile & tablet projects
  • Collaborate on multiple areas of development, prototyping to production tools
  • Write object-oriented, clear, maintainable, scalable and functional code
  • Work closely with artists and designers to solve problems and ensure quality between design and code
  • Be willing to be a generalist when necessary, tackling general tasks
  • Translate design ideas, concepts and requirements into a technical solution
  • RnD tasks with experimental hardware and software
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies
  • Work directly with briefs and understanding requirements. Leading the development aspects of projects

Some key skills are:

  • BSc Degree in a Computer programming/Engineering, or equivalent experience  
  • Experience using the Unity game engine
  • Source control experience with PlasticSCM and git
  • Several years professional experience as a developer in the Game, App, VR or AR Industries
  • Excellent software programming skills, including the ability to design, implement, debug and optimize high quality real time software   
  • A good general knowledge of 3D graphics & 3D graphics APIs, physics & collisions systems, networking, animation, game logic and user interfaces
  • Experience integrating third party APIs and Plugins into Unity
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, innovative and creative environment 
  • Have a passion for emerging creative technologies
  • Experience with the Agile software development process with a focus on task based development using Kanban style boards in Trello or Jira

The reward:

  • Salary $100,000 - $120,000 per annum (pro rated to 6 months)

Mandatory requirements: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred but not essential (computer science or engineering)ne.
