Bio

I love to work with energetic, forward-thinking brands who care about their service, products and people. I cover content development for owned channels, and public relations expertise and implementation to help spread the good word. With a fair few years of media under my belt, I am both an excellent writer, and the sort of person who can dig out a gem of a story in any situation. I craft compelling, clever copy for clients and share advice with those looking to improve how and where they tell their stories. I develop well-received media angles because I know what journalists want - and, crucially, what they don't. Most of all I enjoy finding new ways to tell a story - working closely with both brands, and media, to find that magic sweet spot.

Over the years I have worked with a number of brands ranging across different industries including aviation, financial hospitality, media. If you are needing a word whizz with an affinity with marketing get in touch.

My Skills

Writing & editing
I've spent most of my life immersed in words and stories. I've been a journalist and radio presenter, a magazine editor, and now I tell stories on behalf of a wide range of clients.
I love to craft content of any kind and I truly enjoy every step of the process - from researching and interviewing, to figuring out the most compelling angle, choosing the right words, drafting and proof-reading.
I've worked on everything from packaging to press releases, custom content to quizzes, video scripts to satire, long-form journalism to snappy social media posts. I love it all.

Public relations
I work with clients to explore their storytelling capabilities - preparing them for media contact, developing publicity plans, crafting press releases, media kits and story angles, pitching to media (and following up), and running through interview prep with them.
I've enjoyed success with a number of clients across several industries: health and wellness, food, finance, fashion, wine, aged care, FMCG and business, to name a handful.

Social media
Content may be king (or queen) but you'll quickly be dethroned if your social media isn't up to par. I enjoy working with businesses to determine their tone of voice for social media, crafting content plans and drafting posts.

I'm best known for...

Covering the highly anticipated wedding of Dan and Honor Carter on a Friday night, writing the story for Woman's Day on my laptop from the kitchen as guests partied outside, filing it from an internet cafe in Blenheim by 9pm, so that it was on supermarket shelves on Saturday.
