With their femcare products lagging in sales, U by Kotex needed to be brave and once again strike a chord with young women. We wanted to break the taboo surrounding femcare and the outdated blue liquid, women doing cartwheels approach to advertising. So how could we demonstrate the benefits of U by Kotex that resonated with women and even give them a giggle? Introducing the Beaver. When the Beaver commercial, showing a young woman pampering her cute little friend hit the screens, it subsequently became one of the most talked about ads in Australia. It generated over 2 million dollars worth of free PR and was the number 1 most watched Youtube ad for entertainment.
