Meet Karo.

Over the course of his career, Karo has worked with a number of agencies and corporates in Auckland. Over the last few years, he has been creating UX / UI design for the banking industry, working with a number of big banks in NZ and helping them with their digital transformations.

He’s progressed from head of creative (JWT) to design director (Oktober), CX designer (Colenso, BNZ) and now UX designer (with a few other roles in between). We can safely say this is a man with a true appreciation of design in every respect.

Karo has been integral to the inception of digital products, concepting, research, and prototyping right through to production. A big focus of any of his product design projects is focused on the customer usability.

As a freelancer, Karo has done some really impressive work including redesigning Westpac’s online banking site and app, consolidating a 40-year old legacy banking system into one unique responsive platform. For the last three years, he has been freelancing for giants such as Ogilvy, TBWA, Spark, and Vodafone.

He even helped reshape TVNZ’s OnDemand platform, introducing new user features while providing a seamless experience up there with the best streaming services.

And he helped Z Energy develop an infotainment dashboard screen that catered for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
